Armored HDMI 2.0 Micro HDMI (Type D) to Micro HDMI (Type D) 40m (130ft) Active Optical Cable, 4K@60Hz, 18Gbps, Industrial Grade

Description

Built for compact imaging and embedded-display systems that must carry full-bandwidth video through physically demanding routes, this 40 m armored HDMI 2.0 active optical cable uses Micro HDMI Type D connectors at both ends. The hybrid optical architecture transports 18Gbps signals for 4K@60Hz while resisting the attenuation and electromagnetic interference that limit long copper runs. A protective armored structure gives the fiber core added defense against crushing, abrasion and installation stress, making the cable a practical choice for industrial cameras, medical carts, inspection equipment and temporary production rigs. The small Type D interface also fits devices and enclosures where a full-size connector would obstruct access. Compared with the Type A-to-D model in this range, this D-to-D version is purpose-built for two compact endpoints rather than a conventional HDMI source.

  • 18Gbps HDMI 2.0 transmission supporting 4K@60Hz over 40 m (130 ft)
  • Micro HDMI Type D male connectors at both ends for compact cameras and embedded displays
  • Armored hybrid-fiber construction helps protect optical cores from crush, abrasion and installation stress
  • Optical signal path provides low attenuation and strong immunity to EMI/RFI
  • Directional, plug-and-play design suited to industrial vision, medical imaging and mobile AV systems

A

No — HDMI 2.0 AOCs are limited to 18 Gbps bandwidth and therefore do not support HDMI 2.1 features like 8K @ 60 Hz, 4K @ 120 Hz, VRR, QFT, eARC full functions, etc. If your design requires HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, you would need a HDMI 2.1 Active Optical Cable variant.

A

These cables typically support key HDMI features such as:rn✔ HDR (High Dynamic Range)rn✔ HDCP 2.2 copy protectionrn✔ CEC, ARC/eARC and audio formats like Dolby and DTS seriesrn✔ Full EDID communication between devicesrnBroad format support means smoother video and audio compatibility across devices.

A

Often yes, but compatibility varies. Some switches or adapters don’t supply enough power or proper handshake for active optical cables — this can lead to intermittent signal, no signal, or reduced resolution. Testing with your exact hardware setup is recommended before deployment.

This cable is ideal for:rn✔ Long cable runs beyond typical copper HDMI limitsrn✔ Industrial AV installations, signage and control systemsrn✔ Broadcast studios and staging setupsrn✔ Camera-to-monitor connections at eventsrn✔ Environments with high electrical interference or bendsrnIts rugged design and long-distance support make it practical for both professional and demanding home installations.
